Tech-sector critique underscores difficult path ahead for consumer data-breach bill

Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO) this week reiterated his call for “immediate” consumer notification of data breaches despite industry opposition, but a lengthy critique of his draft data security bill from the tech sector suggests other issues may pose more significant hurdles for the measure.
