Software Tester

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. Responsibilities

  • Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Test Case Design: Create detailed and effective test cases, covering functional, regression, and security testing, to ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Test Execution: Execute test cases manually and, when applicable, automate test scenarios using testing tools, identifying and documenting defects.
  • Defect Management: Document, track, and prioritize defects, working closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications.
  • Security Testing: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to incorporate security testing into the testing process, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring the overall security of the software.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test results, procedures, and test artefacts, ensuring traceability and transparency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requisites

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on cybersecurity or related technologies.

Technical Skills

  • Testing Tools: Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar, and experience with test automation.
  • Security Awareness: Understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to incorporate security testing into the software testing process.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
